Samantha Harper Macy

Samantha Harper Macy is an actress, writer, poet, and teacher. She appeared in the Broadway, Off Broadway, and film versions of Oh! Calcutta! and in two films directed by Hal Ashby, Bound for Glory and Lookin' to Get Out. She was also a series regular on the hit late night television comedy soap, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, and taught acting in Los Angeles for seven years, coaching such stars as Jon Voight and Paul Michael Glaser. Her poetry includes a compilation of intimate poems entitled Loving Men. Her interest in metaphysics and esoteric knowledge within ancient and New Age traditions has led her to explorations of Science of Mind, Buddhism, the Cabalah, and Western Mysticism. These passions, coupled with inspiration from a grandmother who enchanted those who knew her in rural Mississippi, have led Samantha to co-author The Two Sisters' Café. She is married to actor Bill Macy.
